For those of you who do not know me, my grand plan was to retire, or at least go for a very long sabbatical. And yet, fewer than 6 months after leaving my well-paid corporate job, you are reading a website for my own consultancy company. What happened? Well...

It would seem life has a defined set of rules, usually captured into folk sayings, and even laws, like Murphy's. On this occasion, it would seem I have just fallen under “The Best-Laid Plans”, from the Scottish poem:

The best laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft a-gley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promised joy

I can only assume it is due to the time spent living in Edinburgh, in any case, knowing which rules of life are being dealt is beyond my expertise, at least until I get my astrology certification.

Many folks (and gals) who know me were pointing out that I would get bored. While they may have been right given enough time, it is not the reason for my quick turnaround. I still have plenty of hobbies and games to go through before boredom becomes an issue, never mind an almost 2-year-old mini me running around.

The main issue was that perspective shift. When I was doing my master plan I was on my 5th year of burnout, back then, a life of pure nihilism seemed great, a solid plan without gaps. However, when the time came, the prospect of not doing anything productive or giving back to society, simply did not feel that great, especially the feeling of "wasting" my prime years.

Besides, I actually like tech, I just strongly dislike working for big corporations, so when I was approached to help out on some projects I jumped right into it. And that's basically how 'Leonardo innovations inovacijos, MB' came to be.
